PALMETTO

Capturing the botanical fervour of 19th century orchid hunters, this jazz inspired archive design is a Sanderson archive classic. Evoking the inside of an orangery with its exotic portrayal of rubber plants and passion flowers, our tropical floral trail introduces a cornucopia of etched blooms against a dark ground. 

With an elusive backstory gleaned from a single black and white photograph and an old index card, Palmetto’s formative years are something of an enigma. The note, handwritten with a simple instruction, merely says, 'document from the Gosport archive'.
